Step 1 – Log in to your Shopify store and open the admin panel.
Step 2 – To add a new product, click on the products link (you can find it in the left navigation) in the Shopify admin panel (Refer to the below image)
Step 3 – After clicking on the Products link, you will see a button “Add Products” on the right-hand side, you need to click on that button (Refer to the below image).
Step 4 – After clicking on the “Add your products” button, you will see a form to fill in the product details like title, description, weight, price, photos, tax information, etc. (Refer to the below image).
Step 5 – Let’s start filling in the details of the product step by step, all the information mentioned in the image is for demonstration purposes only, please ignore it if it matches your real product.
Title – product title is the most important part of your product, this is the name of your product and it also helps in the search engine algorithm.
Based on your product title wordings, it becomes easily searchable across web search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and many more and it also explains your product.
so make sure, you write the exact product name, for example, I have mentioned “Rexing Dash Cam” with the latest version number in the title (Refer to the below image).
Description – product description should be in detail.
you must mention every feature of your product, like size, color, warranty, weight, model details, parts, durability, etc, to explain to the customers properly.
Because on the eCommerce site buyers only read the description carefully and if they are satisfied with your product details, it means they will surely buy your product.
Media – upload your product images, they should be very clear product images, make sure to upload HD quality images so that they can attract customers to buy them.
it’s like you are demonstrating your best quality products online to the customers, based on the images and product description customers make up their minds to purchase the product or not.
Pricing, tax charges per item which will be hidden for the customer, product category, weight, color, number of SKUs in the inventory, and product Tags.
Tags are like product keywords that help customers to search for your products on the search engines like Google organically.
