How to create coming soon page on Shopify?
Here we will discuss how you can create a new coming soon page on Shopify.

Password Protection
You can make your Shopify store website password protected by setting up the password for the visitors.
Login to the Shopify store admin center by owner or admin account
Click on the Online Store –>preferences (Options are available in the left navigation) Refer to the below image.
You can set up an easy password for the visitors and a message to your visitors as well, you can write the details of your company, features of your products which are coming soon for them.
this way users will see password protected page with your custom message, but the user interface will be very simple refer to the below image.
Password Page Customization
You can change the password protection page UI, background image, email signup message, coming soon heading, or many more things on that page.
In every Shopify theme, you can find a password page, you can change it for your visitors as per your company guidelines.
Log in to your Shopify admin center using your administrator or owner account.
Click on the Online Store–>Themes–>Customize Button
After clicking on the Customize button of your current installed theme of the Shopify store.
go to the Top middle section of the page, type the password in the pages dropdown, and select the Password page.
You will see your theme password page, you can change the text message “opening soon”, or any text written over the page window.
For changing the text, select the selection in the left navigation and change the text and save it.
You can request visitors to enter their email ID for email notification when this store will get launched and products will be available to the world.
After making all changes, you can click on the “Save” button.
You can change the Email Signup page background by selecting your custom image or free images provided by Shopify.
Click on the Email signup Banner–>> Select the image or explore free images–>> Select Image Type –>>and select the final image and click on the “Select” button and finally click on the “Save” button to make the save the final changes.

You can make other changes like coming soon Heading font, size, color, and other text, and location of the signup box, and after making all the changes click on the Save button.

How to create coming soon page on Shopify using App
Let’s explore the next method to create a coming soon page on Shopify using Shopify apps from the app store.
Log in to your Shopify Store using your admin or owner account and click on the Apps (option is available in the left navigation).
Type “coming soon page” in the app search box and click on the “Shopify App Store” (Refer to the below image).
Select the “Shogun Landing Page Builder” app which is having the highest customer reviews in the app store.
Click on “Add App” to your store.
After clicking on the “Add App” button, it will redirect to your Shopify store dashboard, now click on the Install app button to install this app to your store.
After clicking on the Install App button, it will redirect to the Shogun page to select the coming soon page template.
Once you will select the template, it will ask you to provide the page name, I have entered the “Coming soon” page and clicked on the “Create Standard Page” button.
It will redirect to the page builder editor to make the changes in the heading, timer, background image, button text, or whatever you want to change, just hover over that text, image, or button and make the change as per your company guidelines and click on the save, Refer to the below image for reference.
After clicking on the Save button now click on the “Publish” button so that this new page can be published in your Shopify store.
After Publishing that page, you can see it in the Shogun Landing page dashboard, Now you can set it as HomePage (Refer to the below image).
The same page you can see in the Shopify store pages section.
You can see customized landing page has been set as home page of our Shopify store.
How to edit Shopify coming soon page
We have learned to create Coming Soon pages using 2 methods, the first is using a password page, and the second one using the Shopify app.
We can edit those pages using the same method.
for example:
Edit the password page – Login into the Shopify store admin center using an admin or owner account.
Click on the Online Store–>> Preferences –>>Password Protection section and change the message to visitors.
Click on the Customize Theme –>>Password Page–>>make the changes and click on Save.
Edit Shogun Landing Page – Open the Shogun Dashboard where you have published the landing page.
open this page, edit the section as per your requirement, and click on Save.
